Aside from a few amenities to make Dogwood Canyon Nature Park more accessible to our guests, the rugged landscape has been left untouched and, with just a little imagination, you can travel backward to a time when European settlers first entered the area or, even further, to explore the mark that native Americans left on these Missouri hills and hollows.
The first parcels of the property were acquired in 1990 by Johnny Morris, the founder of Bass Pro Shops. It was his dedication to conserving our natural environment that has become the cornerstone for development of this spectacular wilderness experience. Our hours of operation vary seasonally. All activities are
subject to weather conditions and availability. Advanced
reservations are recommended for all activities except walking
and biking. Reservations are secured by credit card and are
subject to 24 hour cancellation notification (72 hours for guided
fishing). Rates listed apply to the 2008 season and are subject
to change. Children under 2 years are free with some
restrictions.
For the safety of our guests and the protection of our wildlife, pets, rollerblades, skateboards, scooters and alcohol are not permitted.
Our Outdoor Café offers a variety of satisfying meals featuring bison burgers, hamburgers, hot dogs, honey-pecan chicken wraps, soups, desserts and more! Daily specials and kids’ meals are available. There’s something for everyone at the Outdoor Café! Offered March through October. Hours vary seasonally.
